2017 National Jamboree

Three Boy Scout Troops and two patrols of Venturers from the Chief Seattle Council will be joining more than 39,000 Scouts and leaders at the national jamboree in the summer of 2017. This event at the Bechtel Summit Reserve will most certainly be a memorable highlight in the Scouting career for all who attend.

Our contingent will travel together, touring points of interest prior to arrival at the Jamboree site. Adult leadership will be selected by the council jamboree committee under the direction of Larry Garrett. The committee is charged with organizing and coordinating all aspects of the jamboree and the associated travel and tours.

Adults interested in serving as jamboree leaders must complete the application found here and submit it to the council service center. We will contact you to set up an interview.

The online application for Youth and Adult Leader Participants is open now! Prospective participants may register online at this link. To apply, you must have your current BSA membership number. Please be aware that the membership number that you use with the application will be linked to you for the entire jamboree process, including your BSA Health & Medical Record.

The cost for our 2017 Jamboree contingent will be $3,150 per person. This covers the jamboree fee, air fare and baggage fees, and the tour of Washington DC prior to the jamboree. The departure date will be Saturday, July 15, 2017, and everyone will return on Friday, July 28th.
