Why the different costs?  Webelos pay for the program, lunch and patches. Parents and Leaders pay for lunch.

Details: Your Den camps as a group in your own tents or 2 person cabins or Adirondacks in a campsite with bathrooms nearby.  There is water, some electricity – for CPAPs, some picnic tables, some supports for dining flys (bring tarps), and some covered dining areas and fire pits.  (There might/will also be dry wood available.)

We provide: All activities during the day Saturday (9-5), Saturday lunch, an evening Campfire program, and an interfaith worship service on Sunday morning.

You provide:  Camping equipment (tents and sleeping bags), cooking equipment (stoves, dishes) and food for Saturday night dinner (a Cast Iron Chef or Castaway requirement) and Sunday breakfast. Please bring a dessert or snack to share with each other around your campfires back at your campsite after the Program.   All you bring will need to be wheel barrowed to the campsite in the afternoon.

Activities:

Webelos will rotate through Skill Stations Saturday morning and afternoon. (fire building and safety, first aid, backpack cooking,…)

Parents will learn about the BSA program, the transition to Boy Scouts, essential camping skills, gear choices, ask Scoutmasters questions and have a tour of camp to see the stations.

You and your Scouts may come just for the day – but the cost is the same and it is only half the fun!

Please contact your Webelos families and leaders to make plans to attend the returning Webelos Woods Camping event!! Talk with your Dens and sign up soon via the Alpine District Website

Please email your registration questions.  I will have posted very soon a much more detailed timetable of events as well as a family planning guide and den leader communications packet.
