Why This weekend is for all adult leaders who want to make a difference for the youth program in their troop! This will be a fun filled day-and-a-half of learning camping skills! This is for you!
This is a standard BSA accredited course with a syllabus -- and you will receive a certificate after completion! Think of this as a train-the-trainer event. Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank.
If you are thinking of becoming an SM or ASM this training is required. For any parent, this training is a great step in becoming a more involved member of your troop, and you will make great friends!
What …are we doing at IOLS??
