Training

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT). NYLT is the premier youth training program. Troop and Crews, please encourage both your up in coming leaders and well as current leaders to this training. To encourage attendance some Troops and Crews will subsidize a portion of the registration fee. The investment can pay dividends for years.

Wood Badge. Wood Badge is recommended for all adults in the Scouting program (Cubs, Boy Scouts, Venturing). There is a direct correlation between units with Wood Badge Trained adults and the health of the unit.

General Training. Training is central to effectively presenting the Scouting program.

Further training information: The District needs an individual that can help promote training opportunities. If you are interested please contact District Chair, Malcolm McLellan, mcm@vnf.com, (206) 829-1814 (w)
