Bring a Friend Friday

October is full of fun times to #bringafriend and #sharescouting 🎃These times are the easiest for a unit to post the fun they are planning and simply say “JOIN US”, and best of all it takes little to no added effort except welcoming new faces and watching the fun! Having a sign-in sheet will keep it super simple and letting new parents know that you’ll reach out afterwards allows them to engage with the good times knowing you’ll follow-up. So plan a #bringafriendfriday or any day!

Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Chief Seattle Council recognizes Indigenous Peoples’ Day as an opportunity to honor the contributions Native Americans have made.
Our council was named in honor of Chief Si’ahl (1780-1866), a Duwamish and Suquamish leader, for whom the city of Seattle is also named. Our council and programs are on the ancestral lands of Coast Salish Nations, whose people still steward this land.

On this day, we ask all Scouts and people associated with Scouting to take a moment to reflect on our relationship with all tribal nations and indigenous cultures.
