Trail to First Class/Paul Bunyan Award Day

New Scouts who have just joined your troop can have their first outdoor experience, while accomplishing a large part of their Trail to First Class rank requirements! 

Older Scouts can earn the Paul Bunyan Award, is a conservation and skill-based award for scouts who learn to perform woods tools work, while also doing service on trails or in other natural settings.We have put together a day of fun and learning for Scouts to attend in the beautiful Cascade Mountains at Camp Sheppard!

Winter Camp

Camp Sheppard Winter Camp

Winter camp at Camp Sheppard is a unique, exciting, and fun scouting experience for youth of all ages. Scouts can participate in hiking, ecology-conservation , outdoor skills all in the beauty of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. Enjoy BB gun and archery, or spend a bit of time on our snow tubing hill. And when you are cold and ready to warm up take a break in our heated bunk house style cabins.

About Camp Sheppard

Camp Sheppard is located in the spectacular Cascade Mountains, just minutes from Mount Rainier National Park and Crystal Mountain ski area. Cliffs tower overhead, pristine falls can be found nearby, and giant elk freely roam the meadows. Visitors stay in heated cabins with bunks and may enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, inner tubing (weather permitting) or games in the cozy lodge. The lodge features a dining hall and kitchen, and the restrooms with showers are centrally located.
