Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Merit Badge Fair open to just Thunderbird Scouts, or can any scout attend?

Initially, we are limiting registration to just those scouts who are members of the Thunderbird District. This is to ensure that Thunderbird scouts have enough opportunity to take advantage this event sponsored by their home district. After September 24th, we will start accepting registrations from scouts from other districts.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a notebook, pen/pencil and merit badge documents related to your merit badges.

What’s for lunch?

Thunderbird District will provide lunch to all the scouts and volunteers

Will I be able to finish my merit badges in one day?

Most of the merit badges offered at the fair cannot be completed in one day. The website lists those requirements for each badge which will not be covered during the session on October 13th. Scouts should bring appropriate documentation (including merit badge worksheets), showing any completed requirements, to increase the likelihood that he will complete the badge during the class session.

Do I need a “blue card?”

Yes. Please bring a blue card, signed by your scoutmaster, and merit badge worksheets, for each of the classes you plan to take. We will check for this when you sign-in.
