Scouting for Food – March 26th 2022

Pack and Troop Drop Off Location

Troop 636 will be collecting food from all Alpine District packs and troops for the Issaquah Food Bank.  Since the Food Bank and their warehouse are currently closed to the public, we will be collecting all food at the following location:

When: Saturday, March 26th, 2022 from 10AM to 2:30PM
Where: Faith United Methodist Church, 3924 Issaquah-Pine Lake Rd SE, Issaquah
Note: Upper parking lot. Please also avoid the main sanctuary, as another group will be holding an event there.

We kindly ask for only the following items at this time:

  • Canned Chicken
  • Canned Tuna
  • Canned Pasta (Chef Boyardee)
  • Cereal
  • Chili
  • Coffee (ground, regular not decaf)
  • Condiments -specifically: Ketchup, Mustard, Soy Sauce, Jelly/jam
    (regular size bottles only please)
  • Hamburger Helper/Pasta Roni
  • Hearty Soup (i.e. Progresso, Campbell’s Chunky, etc.)
  • Pancake Mix (regular and gluten free)
  • Sugar (5lb bags only please)
  • Protein Bars
  • Ramen
  • Rice a Roni
  • White Rice (1-2lb bags only please)
  • Non-Food:
  • Baby Wipes
  • Bar Soap
  • Deodorant
  • Diapers sizes: Newborns, 1’s, 2’s, 3’s,4,5,6 Pull-ups; all sizes

If other items are donated, we will redirect them to a different charitable organization.

We will receive all donations, weigh them and tell the driver the weight of their donation.

Please do not take your items directly to the Food Bank or the warehouse, as they will NOT accept them from you. If you cannot bring your donations to the collection event on 3/26, please email Marty Timour (timourmarty@comcast.net) to arrange pickup.

Scouting for Food is coming to your neighborhood.  In the next couple weeks, scouts will drop off door hangers requesting food donations for the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank.  
 

PLEASE LEAVE ITEMS IN A SHOPPING BAG(S) AND PLACE ON YOUR PORCH OR DOORSTEP FOR COLLECTION.

The hanger left on your door will indicate the day scouts will return to pick up donations.
