Troop Leader Breakout:
We would like to invite the Life Scouts (and Star?) from your units along with their parents for a discussion of the Life to Eagle Process. We will cover each step in the process including;
1) Resources available at the Council Website
2) The Eagle Scout Project
    – What criteria should be considered when selecting a Project (Beneficiary, Size of Project, Who needs to be at the Project, Fund Raising)
    – What is the goal of the Project Approval at District and what information is needed
    – Youth Protection Rules that must be followed
3) Eagle Application Process
    –  How to create an “accurate” Application and the importance of accuracy on the Application
    –  Criteria for References that must be include with the Application
    –  Criteria for Letters of Recommendation and the use of the current Letter of Recommendation Form
    –  Criteria for the “Statement of Ambition”
    –  Submitting the Application to Council
4)  Process for Scheduling an Eagle Board of Review
    –  Who will contact the Eagle Candidate
    –  Who can be a member of the Board of Review … & Who may not
    –  Who can select members of the Board
    –  What information will the Board need the candidate to have available at the Board

If you have Scouts in your unit that will be completing their requirements for Eagle sometime in 2021 we will try to help them out and take some of the mystery and stress out of the process.
