About Peninsulas Territory Service Area

PTSA Committee Meetings are held on the First Thursday of every month at 7PM on Zoom. These meetings are the territory wide planning and coordination and are open to all registered members of the BSA.

PTSA Roundtable Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7PM on Zoom. These meetings are open to all registered members of the BSA, youth, invited guests and speakers. 

PTSA Commissioner meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 6PM and are intended for the Territory and Unit Commissioners throughout the peninsulas to coordinate Unit Leadership and Mentorship.

Welcome to the Peninsulas Territory Service Area

Kitsap serves Scouting families from Bainbridge Island, Seabeck, Crosby, Bremerton, Silverdale, Port Orchard, Belfair, Bangor, Erlands Point-Kitsap Lake, Indianola, Kingston, Manchester, Navy Yard City, Olalla, Parkwood, Poulsbo,  Suquamish, and Tracyton.

Mt. Olympus serves Jefferson County from the Hood Canal Bridge to the west including Clallam County to Neah Bay.

Now, these two Districts have merged into what is known as the Peninsulas Territory Service Area (PTSA).

There are Scouting units in every major community within the PTSA with the possibility of developing more. Registered adult volunteers are provided free training and the support needed to start new units.

For over 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.  This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well.  Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long term resident camping, and providing cheerful service to others.  OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America’s youth.
Order of the Arrow Mission

The mission of the Order of the Arrow is to fulfill its purpose as an integral part of the BSA through positive youth leadership under the guidance of selected capable adults.

Chapters

Mox Kar-Po  (Kitsap Peninsula) meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Siam Chetwoot  (Clallam and Jefferson Counties) meets on 2nd Thursday of the month 

Purpose

As Scouting’s National Honor Society, our purpose is to:

  • Recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and through that recognition cause others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition.
  • Promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship as essential components of every Scout’s experience, in the unit, year-round, and in summer camp.
  • Develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit and ability to advance the activities of their units, our Brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation.
  • Crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.
