Swimming Merit Badge Clinic – May 20th 2023 in Covington

The Swimming Merit Badge Clinic is a 4- hour clinic which allows for Scouts to begin (and perhaps complete) the Eagle-required Swimming Merit Badge.

The Clinic is run by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors, all familiar with the Scouts BSA Aquatics Program, most of whom are Eagle Scouts or are on their way to becoming Eagle. The clinic is staffed by some BSA Certified Lifeguards as well. A Merit Badge Counselor working for the City of Covington will supervise the clinic and collect all Blue Cards at the beginning of the Clinic.

Scouts must bring a Blue Card signed by their Scoutmaster. Scouts can bring a Swimming Merit Badge Pamphlet (Book), however it is optional.

Scouts will be provided with a Swimming Merit Badge Workbook. If you have not completed First Class, you will not be able to finish the Merit Badge until you have completed the Swimming Requirements for both First and Second Class. We will work with you individually to complete these requirements at the beginning of the clinics as to have these completed.
