Joining the Camp Staff team is a wonderful way to develop leadership skills and help different types of people while having tons of fun. The following Camp Staff positions are available:

Summer Camp Staff

For Camp Bonaparte, Edward, Parsons, and Pigott. Minimum ages for most positions are 16, 18 and 21 years of age depending on position and level of responsibility. Camp Edward hosts our Cub Scout Resident Camp programs. Bonaparte, Parsons and Pigott are the home of our Scouts BSA summer camping in  Chief Seattle Council.

Winter Camp Staff – Hiring NOW!

Assist with Camp Sheppard’s weekend programs for Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA.

Camp Sheppard Dates: November 15-17 Staff Training #1 (Voluntary), December 13-15 Staff Training #2 (Mandatory)

Winter Camp Sessions: Weekends January through second weekend of March

*There is the potential for extended employment into the spring with rental group programs and Cub Getaway.

We are currently hiring in all departments. Candidates should come prepared to discuss ideas for programs at Camp Sheppard, as well as why they want to serve on staff. Please see below for application deadlines, as well as other pre-requisites.

• Program Area Director (Scoutcraft/Skills, Ecology/STEM, Craft Lodge, Archery & BB Gun Range)- Must be 18 years of age. Applications should be accompanied by program ideas for their respective area, pertinent certificates of qualification, and be submitted by October 1, 2024. Some positions require additional training beyond the scheduled training weekends.
• Program Staff- Must be 16 years of age. Applications should be submitted by October 1, 2024.
• Medic- Must be 18 years of age and be willing to perform course work for certification.
• Minimum credentials accepted are EMR, EMT-B, or Paramedic. Applications should be accompanied by any current pertinent credentials and be submitted by October 1, 2024.
• Food Service Director- Must be 18 years of age. Applications should be accompanied by a proposed meal plan for a day at camp and be submitted by October 1, 2024.
• Kitchen Staff- Must be 16 years of age. Applications should be submitted by October 1, 2024.
• Trading Post Manager- Must be 18 years of age. Applications should be accompanied by ideas for Trading Post inventory and be submitted by October 1, 2024.
• Weekend Ranger- Must be 18 years of age. Applicants should possess basic hand tool skills. Skills in carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work preferred. Applications should be submitted by October 1, 2024.
