Powder Horn is Happening!

Powder Horn is open for registration now! This adventurous weekend is happening Aug 8 – 11, 2024 at Camp Fife. This course is for those 14 and up, will equip youth, adults and scout leaders with the knowledge to safely undertake outdoor adventures, obtain resources for leading outdoor programs and provides exposure to high-adventure activities. This is not a certification course, it’s ideal support for anyone interested in high-adventure programs at the unit level. Youth Protection Training

Summer Camp and more awesome adventures are on the way, make sure your unit is prepared by having registered, trained leaders and older youth. Remember All BSA adult volunteers and all adults staying overnight for a Scouting activity. must be a registered adult in a position or listed as an adult program participant. *Limited exception for Cub Scout overnight programs. Range and Target Activities

Set your sights on registering for a great day of Shooting Sports on April 21st. Now’s the time to sharpen your skills or work on on a merit badge. Choose from a variety of range of experiences will be offered including archery, BB shooting, .22 rifles, shotguns, black powder, and pistols. Hosted by Camp Pigott from 9am to 4pm, if you’d like to camp the night before contact campingdept@seattlebsa.org, the cost: $45.00/per person. NYLT

The 2024 National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is designed to support youth in developing a leadership mindset. The training use the peer to peer method; it is conducted by highly qualified youth staff under the supervision of adult advisors. The tradition of supporting food insecurity in local communities goes back to the mid-80’s and is just one of the many ways Scouts serve. Make sure to register your unit and plan your path. March is the designated month for SCOUTING FOR FOOD by registering you let us know but that your unit designates a different month.

Silver Beaver Nominations

Chief Seattle Council is seeking nominations for the Silver Beaver Award, introduced in 1931 it is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. We ask you to think about the amazing volunteers that make a difference to youth in your Territory and nominate the registered Scouter who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service.
